County's top volunteers honored
Jessamine County's top volunteers were honored at the Central Kentucky Volunteer Awards recognition breakfast, coordinated by United Way of the Bluegrass and sponsored by Keeneland, on April 29 at the Campbell House in Lexington. Winners included Drew O'Brien . Youth Individual Service Award; Hunter, Bob and Donna Blair . Family Award; Geneva Back . Individual Service Award; and Debbie Smith . Individual Service Award. More information at www.uwbg.org/volunteer. Caf. renovated The Main . Maple Coffee House and Caf. had its grand opening April 18 in an historic 19th-century building in downtown Nicholasville. The renovation of the site was made possible by a state grant initiated by Nicholasville NOW, a division of the National Trust for Historic Preservation dedicated to downtown revitalization and economic development.
